SUSS and Centre for Mindfulness (Singapore) Launch New Undergraduate Course on Mindfulness Interventions

Singapore, 14 July 2025 – The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and the Mindfulness Academy of the Centre for Mindfulness (Singapore) have entered into a strategic collaboration to co-develop and co-teach a new undergraduate course teaching psychology students how to design and facilitate mindfulness Interventions.

This pioneering course integrates evidence-based mindfulness practices with practical facilitation skills, equipping students to design and deliver effective, trauma-sensitive mindfulness interventions across diverse settings. Delivered through face-to-face seminars and supported by interactive learning resources, the course places strong emphasis on ethical, cultural, and population-sensitive applications.

The Centre for Mindfulness brings its specialised expertise and certified professionals to the initiative, contributing to both course development and instruction. The collaboration marks a significant step toward advancing mental health education in Singapore and reflects both institutions’ commitment to applied, socially responsive learning.

The course is set to launch in July 2026.
