Mindfulness Connector
Certified Mindfulness Teacher
MBWE and MBSR Teacher
Shirley began her mindfulness journey in 2000 and has maintained a consistent and dedicated personal practice over the years. She actively integrates mindfulness-based approaches into her counselling work, supporting clients in navigating life challenges and strengthening their emotional wellbeing. To deepen her understanding and stay current with developments in the field, Shirley regularly attends mindfulness retreats and professional training programmes.
Shirley is a professional counsellor, which has become a meaningful passion in her life. She has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds—including children, adolescents, adults, and families—helping them develop healthier perspectives, strengthen their mental wellbeing, and improve their relationships.
Prior to her work in counselling and mindfulness, Shirley accumulated more than 15 years of corporate experience across a range of industries, including multinational corporations and Singapore SMEs. During this time, she was also involved in promoting Singapore’s education system in China and conducted numerous seminars and talks in Mandarin.
Since 2021, Shirley has been conducting mindfulness sessions in both English and Mandarin for schools and organisations. Her work includes supporting the wellbeing of students, single parents through programmes with community organisations, as well as staff and management teams through structured mindfulness programmes. In recent years, she has also been teaching at an institute of higher learning in Singapore.
In her personal time, Shirley enjoys writing, reading, and spending quality time with her daughter.
She is certified to teach the Mindfulness-Based Wellbeing Enhancement (MBWE) programme and is also a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher.
