This study, in collaboration with Temasek Polytechnic, evaluated the effects of a modified Mindfulness-Based Wellbeing Enhancement (MBWE) program on older adults' psychosocial wellbeing and cognitive functions. The results showed significant improvements in mindfulness, sleep quality, and certain aspects of cognitive functions. The key outcomes of the modified Mindfulness for Senior Wellbeing program on older adults' psychosocial wellbeing included:
Improved levels of mindfulness
Positive changes in sleep quality
Reduced worrying thought in financial and material concerns related to a specific aspect of flourishing
These outcomes suggest that the Mindfulness for Senior Wellbeing program had positive effects on various aspects of psychosocial wellbeing among older adults.
The results of the research will be documented and published in a scholarly journal.
