About the Event

The Mindfulness-Based Wellbeing Enhancement (MBWE) program, established in 2015, represents a significant evolution in mindfulness-based interventions by uniquely combining the principles of Mindfulness and Positive Psychology 2.0. As an appreciative Mindfulness-Based Program (MBP), MBWE is designed to enhance overall wellbeing and happiness for a wide demographic, including healthy individuals and those with clinical challenges.

Our Flagship 8-Week Mindfulness Course

This 9-session program, conducted over 8 weeks, facilitates a comprehensive understanding of the happiness paradigm. Participants are empowered to proactively enhance their wellbeing, equipping them with the tools and insights needed to navigate life's challenges and opportunities. By immersing yourself in this course, you'll discover the keys to unlocking a more meaningful and flourishing existence, fostering a profound sense of personal growth and contentment.

"This is one of the most significant and distinctive teaching intentions of the MBWE. It is the wholeness of our being that creates the capacity to discover happiness and wellbeing as a phenomenon that is always available and ready to be discovered through mindfulness." - Dr. Kathirasan K & Dr. Sunita Rai

Results after 8 weeks

When applied to relationships, mindfulness can enhance communication, intimacy, and overall connection. Here are some ways mindfulness can be beneficial for couples:

  1. Improved Communication: Mindfulness encourages active listening, which is crucial for effective communication in any relationship. Couples can learn to listen without judgment, truly understanding each other's perspectives.
  2. Reduced Reactivity: Mindfulness helps individuals become less reactive to stressors and triggers. In a relationship, this can translate into a decreased likelihood of reacting impulsively or emotionally during conflicts.
  3. Increased Emotional Regulation: Mindfulness practices promote emotional regulation by helping individuals become more aware of their emotions without being overwhelmed by them. This can lead to more constructive discussions and less emotional volatility in relationships.
  4. Enhanced Empathy: Mindfulness fosters empathy by encouraging individuals to understand their own feelings and, in turn, better understand the emotions of their partners. This can create a more compassionate and supportive atmosphere.
  5. Greater Intimacy: Mindfulness can deepen the emotional connection between partners. By being present and fully engaged in shared activities, couples can create more meaningful and intimate experiences together.
  6. Mindful Conflict Resolution: Couples who practice mindfulness may approach conflicts with a calmer and more open mindset. This can lead to more effective problem-solving and resolution, as both partners are better able to express their needs and concerns.
  7. Building Resilience: Mindfulness helps individuals cope with stress and adversity. As a couple, practicing mindfulness together can build resilience and strengthen the relationship during challenging times.
  8. Shared Mindfulness Practices: Couples can engage in mindfulness activities together, such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or mindful walks. This shared experience can deepen their connection and create a sense of unity.

The program's efficacy spans diverse demographics and settings, demonstrating its restorative and appreciative qualities. This versatility enables MBWE to address a wide spectrum of needs, facilitating personal development and assisting in the overcoming of various challenges.
